Exploring the “Free” Anime Games in the Crunchyroll Game Vault

Premium members can now play two new titles: Ponpu and Yuppie Psycho, both available on Android and iOS devices. The subscription service will also feature a developer portal that allows creators to interact directly with Crunchyroll’s editorial teams. The subscription includes premium games such as River City Girls, Behind the Frame, and inbento.

Ponpu is a 2D puzzle game with a fast-paced rhythm and is making its mobile market debut exclusively through Crunchyroll Game Vault. The action-platformer includes a single-player campaign and many multiplayer modes for up to 4 players. Ponpu features touch controls but will also support game controller connectivity.

Yuppie Psycho also debuts exclusively on mobile through Crunchyroll, with new touch controls added for the exploration/puzzle game. Following the story of Brian Pasternack, a young man in a dystopian 90s society, on his first day at work at Sintracorp, the game leads players through a disturbing adventure where Pasternack must hunt down a “witch” haunting Sintracorp employees. Despite its lively pixel art, Yuppie Psycho is a psychological horror game with a branching narrative, requiring players to carefully weigh their choices.

“In the course of 2024, we will work with developers to bring more games to mobile for the first time and to add new features to existing successes. Our developer portal is another step forward in our commitment to collaborating with developers eager to bring games to Crunchyroll fans.”
